Friday Night!

It’s Friday night!

What are you doing?
As a working woman there are always plans to be made and plans to keep.
As a married woman tonight may be date night or it may be “ME” time.
But as a mother, a Friday night for me has meant it is another night. It is another night to put the kids to bed and surrender to my fatigue.

What are you doing tonight?

Whatever you do enjoy the moment.
Enjoy a night out on the town with girlfriends. Enjoy a glass of wine at a quiet bistro alone while reading a novel on your Kindle. Enjoy a night out with your husband; laugh, flirt and reignite the attraction. Enjoy a night at home after the kids are in bed by taking a long bath and putting on a pair of comfy pajamas as you watch the Scandal Episode you missed last night.
Whatever you do enjoy your role as woman, wife and mother!

It’s Friday night!
What are you doing tonight?

Here I Am!

Hi there,

Wow 2013!

I am so happy to see you!

This time last year I had just returned to work from maternity leave. That was the beginning of a new style of mothering for my husband and I. We had a helper with our first child. With Chase, our son, and youngest, we decided to fore go a nanny and Chase was raised by his paternal grandmother. Eric's family was thrilled but our family experienced another reality.

Eric and I washed, ironed, cleaned bathrooms, mopped, dusted...well not so much dusted, washed dishes and every and anything related to the house. This in addition to being the type of mother and father we aspired to be for our daughter and son.

WE WERE FRIGGING EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also missed one another. There was no date night. When one of us went out, the other had to stay home. This was unheard of for Eric and Tiffany.

Well, 2013 rolled around and an unforeseen circumstance has led to us hiring a live-in nanny.

What is the moral of the story?

The moral is here I am Candi, my partner, my friend, my rescuer when I locked my son Chase in the car and you had to get Eric home to unlock the car.........totally another blog.

I look forward to 2013. Let's do this girlie!

We can do this because I DON'T HAVE ANY DISHES TO WASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You inspire me!
Let's inspire The Bahamas!

With much excitement,
Tiffany

Welcome to the new year...(just a tad bit late)

Well hello there,

I've been missing again, but then I can't say that you've actually missed me since I really don't have a clue who you are or who is in fact reading this blog. Ha ha...hmmmm.

Welcome to 2013!  I'm sure many of you have constructed your goals for the year and hopefully finalized them by writing them out in your best handwriting and your best pen. heehee

Last night, I was browsing the internet and it was amazing to see so many women blogging and maintaining these incredible websites!  Blogging can be/is a full time job but for some of these women it's just another part of what they do on top of their main job, as well as keeping a house, dealing with the children and husband, and maintaining family and friend relationships.  Brave is the word that comes to mind, to take on such a task. Brave.

It's all very inspiring to say the least.  Then I got to thinking...Tiffany and I are really on to something here, especially in The Bahamas.  I browsed these websites and while they offer great advice and a plethora of information, they are not specific to our life here in the beautiful Bahamas.  Social events for us, activities for our kids, information of what's happening around the islands.  I believe, no I know, there are a lot of married working mothers out there that need an outlet like this (the Lord knows I do!).

I hope for 2013, this blog becomes the first source for go to information for Married Working Mothers or just working mothers, and Tiffany and I will do our damnedest to make that happen. Let's be Brave right, Tiff?  Tiff? Where Tiff?....Maybe I should have a meeting with my partner first. LOL.

Signed,
Trying to be Brave, Candilaria
